Playing Burnt Japanese PS2 games Items needed: DVD copy of the game, Magic 3 plus Disks (there should be two of them), depending on your ps2 system - either a fliptop (slim version) or a slide card (older model) Purchase - First thing on the list is buying either a slide card or a fliptop, depending on your model, and for sure, magic plus disks. There are stores that sells them both as a package and they should NOT cost more than $20(not even). So, some effort is needed in searching for the right price. With the Magic disks, there should be two disks - a CD version and a DVD version. Modifying your PS2 - you have two choices. You can either install it yourself or get it installed professionally from any gaming store. There are online sites that tells you what to do step for step. For me, I did it myself and it was very easy since I just followed those steps. After modifying your ps2, start your ps2. pop in the Magic DVD disk (if its a DVD file) and wait for it to load. When a screen with "Load program" pops up, open the new top from the top (for the newer models) or open the new tray with the slide card and switch the disk with your burnt copy and close. press X and wait for it to load. That's it~ |

Burning japanese PS2 games
Items needed: DVD-burner, copy of the game (I only tried it with ISO files), DVD+R and DVD Decryptor
Put the game in a folder by itself. Insert a DVD+R in the DVD burner. Google and download a copy of DVD decryptor. Install it.
When you open it, it has a single window. In the upper part of the window, you choose Mode>ISO>write.
Then, you choose the iso select file option (down the options)
Choose the slowest burning speed possible (this is very important, otherwise the game may not work well) 2.4x works great for me.
Then you click on the write option (the cd in the left lower corner) and wait for it to finish. |

Opening up PC BL games with daemon tools
This is an easy one. You need Daemontools or powerISO for this. Download either of them from anywhere (goggle them, they are free). For daemontools, after you install and it pops up in the right bottom corner of the computer, third click on it, choose virtual CD..., then choose mount...and then just choose the cue file from that game folder. Same way with PowerISO. After installing, dbl icon, then look for the Mount button, then in the first choice, then choose mount image. Let me know if it works out. |
